Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method which allow useful information to be obtained that takes into account the posture of a subject from sensor information. [Solution] The information processing apparatus is provided with: an acquisition unit for acquiring information indicating measurement results from a plurality of sensor devices which are attached to parts of a user's body and measure the pressure distribution on the parts; an estimation unit for estimating the arrangement of the parts on the basis of a plurality of captured images containing the parts attached with the sensor devices; and a calculation unit for calculating information relating to the plurality of parts from the information indicating the measurement results acquired by the acquisition unit on the basis of the arrangement of the plurality of parts estimated by the estimation unit.
