Abstract:
Provided is an information processing apparatus including: circuitry configured to execute a data reproduction process and a decoding of reproduction control information associated with subtitle data defined by an extensible markup language (XML) format, acquire, from the decoded reproduction control information, at least one selected from a group consisting of color space designation information, electro-optical transfer function (EOTF) designation information, and color depth designation information, and generate output subtitle data in accordance with the information acquired from the decoded reproduction control information.
