Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an information processing apparatus, a storage medium and a control method wherein a captured image is processed to omit therefrom an object by use of which a person can be identified and the image as processed is then distributed, thereby achieving compatibility between a prevention of violation of privacy and the distribution of the captured image. [Solution] An information processing apparatus comprises: an object detection unit that detects, from the image data of an image captured by an image capture unit, an object by use of which a person can be identified; a storage control unit that stores, into a storage unit, information by use of which the object can be restored; and a communication control unit that performs a control to transfer, to a server, image data obtained by omitting, from the image data, information related to the object by use of which the person can be identified.
