Abstract:
Disclosed is an information processing apparatus provided with a compact sliding-type switching section that can be directly slid to a desired position, and wherein this switching section enables easy and reliable switching between a plurality of modes. The information processing apparatus is provided with the switching section (7) and a control unit. The switching section (7) comprises a movable section (200), a cover (500), a guide section (100), and a switch module (300). The cover (500) and the guide section (100) support the movable section (200) in a directly movable state between two positions of all the two-position combinations of three or more positions. The switch module (300) detects when the movable section (200) has moved to any of the above-mentioned positions. The control unit conducts a control on the basis of the result detected by the switch module (300).
