Abstract:
The present invention realizes an autonomous moving apparatus that is capable of adjusting a sensor rate according to circumstances and achieving both driving safety and reductions in power consumption and processing resources. The present invention has: a sensor; a sensor information analysis unit to which output information from the sensor is inputted and which generates sensor analysis information; an action plan determination unit to which the sensor analysis information is inputted and which generates a plan of action; a sensor rate calculation unit which, on the basis of the sensor analysis information and/or information about the plan of action, calculates the optimum sensor rate for the sensor; and a sensor control unit which adjusts either the sensing rate of the sensor or the output rate of the sensor output information so as to be the optimum sensor rate.
