Abstract:
An information processing system (2000) makes a prescribed determination as to the subject of determination and outputs one of a first result and a second result. A first device (2100) and a second device (2200) perform the prescribed determination by mutually different methods. In order to make the prescribed determination as to the subject of determination, the first device (2100) calculates an index value (determination accuracy) that represents the probability of correctness of assuming that the result of determination is the first result. The first device (2100) outputs the first result as the result of determination when the determination accuracy is greater than a first threshold value, and outputs the second result as the result of determination when the determination accuracy is less than a second threshold value. When the determination accuracy is greater than or equal to the second threshold value and less than or equal to the first threshold value, the first device (2100) requests that the second device (2200) make the prescribed determination as to the subject of determination. The first device (2100) updates at least one of the first threshold value and the second threshold value on the basis of the result of determination outputted by the second device (2200).
