Abstract:
[Problem] To improve the accuracy of a vicinity map that is created on the basis of a distance image. [Solution] A pixel deletion unit deletes, from a distance image acquired by an imaging device, a pixel that cannot have information required to create a vicinity map including geometric information of an environment. A map creation unit creates the vicinity map using the distance image subjected to deletion processing. For example, position and attitude information of the imaging device, viewing angle information of the imaging device, and user-specified region information are used to perform the processing for deleting the pixel.
