An information processing device (1) comprises: a plurality of processing units (3), each of which is provided with a plurality of memories (5) and a memory controller (15) for managing the plurality of memories (5); a normality checking unit (131) which checks the normality of the plurality of processing units (3) when the information processing device (1) is activated; a malfunction detection unit (133) which detects a malfunctioning processing unit among the plurality of processing units; a disabling unit (135) which disables the malfunctioning processing unit; a redundancy assessment unit (137) which assesses whether or not the plurality of memories are used in a redundancy structure in which the plurality of memories are combined; a redundancy release assessment unit (139) which, when the plurality of memories are assessed as being used in the redundancy structure, assesses whether or not the redundancy structure of the plurality of memories should be released; and a redundancy release unit (141) which, when the redundancy structure of the plurality of memories is assessed to be released, releases the redundancy structure of the plurality of memories of the normal processing unit among the plurality of processing units (3).
