This information processing device comprises: a processor that controls a system; a chip set that manages the handing/receiving of data of the processor; a power-source control unit that controls the supply of electric power to the system; a BIOS that sets an activation time to a clock of the chip set; and an activation unit that activates the power-source control unit a predetermined period of time before the activation time.
