Abstract:
In one aspect of this invention, test processes are executed quickly, with the power consumption kept down. In order to make self-test processes executed on a plurality of processing units (12) be processed efficiently, a control unit (14) references a table (26) stored in a storage unit (16) and sets a processing order for the self-test processes such that a power-consumption ceiling is not exceeded. In the processing units (12), the self-test processes are executed by corresponding test units (24) as controlled by the control unit (14). The self-test processes executed on the processing units (12A through 12N) are executed via parallel processing on at least some of the processing units (a plurality of processing units 12A through 12N) or one of the processing units (12A through 12N). In this information processing device (10), self-test processes can thus be executed quickly, with the power consumption kept down.
