Abstract:
An information processing device (10) provided with a control unit (50) that controls a recording medium drive to execute a job wherein information is stored on a recording medium selected from multiple recording media, or a job wherein desired information is read from the recording medium, among the multiple recording media, on which the information is stored. The control unit (50) performs a process whereby multiple jobs are classified as an information storage group or an information reading group, and a job execution sequence is set in a group order, and performs a linking process whereby, for jobs wherein information is to be read, jobs that share an information transfer source recording medium or an information transfer destination recording medium are linked. Jobs are executed in order group by group, and for jobs wherein information is to be read, jobs that share an information transfer source recording medium or an information transfer destination recording medium are linked, so the exchanging of recording media can be minimized, enabling archiving and retrieval to be performed very efficiently.
