Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, information processing method, program, and monitoring system, which, on the basis of a captured image, are capable of assessing a specific region such as a region which a bed occupies. An information processing device according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises: a moving body sensing unit which senses a moving body in a captured image; a presence area information retaining unit which retains presence area information which represents the location of the sensed moving body in the captured image; a presence frequency map generating unit which extracts, from among the retained time series presence area information, the presence area information which corresponds to a prescribed time period, composites the extracted presence area information, and generates a presence frequency map; and a specific region assessment unit which assesses, on the basis of the generated presence frequency map, a specific region which has a high frequency of presence of the moving body. The present disclosure can be applied, as an example, to a monitoring system which is installed in such as an elder care facility.
