Abstract:

The present technology pertains to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program, enabling reduction of the volume of data to be transmitted when data of a plurality of audio objects are to be transmitted. The information processing device according to one aspect of the present invention integrates, from among a plurality of audio objects for a prescribed assumed listening position among a plurality of assumed listening positions, audio objects of which sounds cannot be discriminated at the prescribed assumed listening position, and transmits data of the resultant integrated audio object, together with data of the other audio objects of which sounds can be discriminated at said prescribed assumed listening position. The present technology is applicable to a device that is capable of processing object-based audio data.
