Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to realize a configuration which makes it possible to edit MMT format data for enabling reliable data playback even after edit processing, such as data deletion. A data processing unit for performing edit processing on a stream file configured from a packet string in which MMT format data are stored, if control information utilized by playback data present in a remaining section outside a deletion section to be deleted from the stream file exists in the deletion section, moves the control information to the remaining section or records the control information in a separate file. For example, when the stream file is configured from encrypted units of a fixed data length, a packet in which the control information is stored is expanded into the fixed data length and recorded in the remaining section as a single encrypted unit.
