Abstract:
The present technology pertains to an information processing device, an information processing method, a program, and a vehicle, whereby the flow of vehicles in a lane that a vehicle is traveling in and an adjacent lane can be compared. The information processing device comprises: a vehicle recognition unit that recognizes vehicles in a second lane that is adjacent to a first lane in which the vehicle is traveling and has the same traveling direction as the first lane; and a flow detection unit that detects a first difference or a second difference on the basis of the second lane vehicle recognition results, said first difference being between the number of vehicles in the second lane that have caught up with the vehicle and the number of vehicles in the second lane that the vehicle has caught up with, and said second difference being between the number of vehicles in the second lane that have overtaken the vehicle and the number of vehicles in the second lane that the vehicle has overtaken. This technology can be applied, for example, to a system that controls or makes suggestions about lane changes.
