Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an information processing device, information processing method, and program, for enabling smooth switching of a communication space between a virtual space and a real space. [Solution] Provided is an information processing device comprising: a communication control part for controlling, in a virtual space wherein virtual images are generated which are associated with actual images of users who are present in a real space, a communication mutually carried out among the users via the virtual images of the users; a user information acquisition part for acquiring, at a prescribed timing, position information relating to the positions of the users in the real space and attribute information including at least information relating to the familiarity among the users; and a switch control part for controlling a switch between a communication carried out in the real space and the communication carried out in the virtual space according to the position information and/or the attribute information.
