Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel and improved information processing device, an information processing method, and a program, which are capable of improving robustness of a camera with regard to rotation, when identifying stars corresponding to bright points. [Solution] An information processing device according to the present invention includes a detecting unit that detects a plurality of bright points from an image obtained by a camera photographing space, a calculating unit that calculates a first amount of characteristics indicating a positional relation of at least two or more bright points out of the plurality of bright points detected by the detecting unit, and an identifying unit that identifies a star corresponding to at least one bright point among the two or more bright points, on the basis of the first amount of characteristics calculated by the calculating unit, and a second amount of characteristics including, based on celestial object position information of each of at least two or more stars, a central angle in an equatorial coordinate system among the stars.
