Abstract:
The present technology pertains to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a recording medium, which enable a user to visually recognize the surrounding environment quickly when the brightness of the surroundings suddenly changes. An information processing device according to one embodiment of the present technology comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires environment information related to an environment that includes an object existing in a real space; and a display control unit which, when a change in the brightness of the real space which is greater than a threshold value occurs, carries out a display control with respect to a display unit that displays prescribed information superposed on the real space in a visually recognizable manner, said display control being carried out, on the basis of the environment information, on shape information indicating the shape of the object. The present technology can be applied to a HMD that displays information superposed on a scene in front of a user.
