Abstract:

By extracting images of a playing field (18) and a display device from a captured image, location coordinates of the playing field (18) and a screen (174) on a world coordinate system are acquired. Then, in a virtual space defined using the world coordinate system, a virtual world (170) is built on the other side of the screen (174) from the real world (172) in such a manner that the ground of the virtual world (170) is flush with the surface of the playing field (18) in the real world (172). Then, a virtual perspective (9) is placed at a location corresponding to the perspective of a user in real space, and on the basis of the virtual perspective (9), an image in which the virtual world (170) is projected upon the screen (174) is generated as a display image.
