[Problem] To detect a moving subject more accurately. [Solution] Provided is an information processing device comprising: a determination unit that, on the basis of recognition results for an input image, determines whether an object that outputs sound is a subject of conversation of a voice conversation; and a conversation function unit that exerts control relating to the voice conversation on the basis of the determination by the determination unit. The conversation function unit provides the object with a voice conversation function on the basis of the determination made by the determination unit that the object is the subject of conversation. Also provided is an information processing method in which the following are included: a processor, on the basis of recognition results for an input image, determines whether an object that outputs sound is a subject of conversation of a voice conversation and executes control related to the voice conversation on the basis of the results of the determination; and the execution of control provides the object with a voice conversation function on the basis of the determination that the object is the subject of conversation.
