Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method which enable a reduction in coding efficiency to be suppressed. The present invention hierarchizes attribute information about a point cloud which expresses three-dimensional shape objects as a point set, generates a reference relationship of the attribute information between the hierarchies, sub-hierarchizes, in the hierarchy of the generated attribute information, the attribute information about the hierarchy, and generates a reference relationship of attribute information between the sub-hierarchies. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an information processing device, an image processing device, an encoding device, a decoding device, an electronic apparatus, an information processing method, a program, etc.
