Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method that make it possible to suppress increases in reproduction processing load. The present invention generates a file that stores: a bitstream track that stores a bitstream for content that includes a subpicture within a frame; and an extract base track that stores subpicture-specifying information that is information for specifying a subpicture to be extracted from the bitstream track. On the basis of the extract base track of the file, the present invention extracts the subpicture from the bitstream track and generates a bitstream. The present invention can be applied, for example, to an information processing device or an information processing method.
