Abstract:
Disclosed is an information processing device provided with a chassis (4), a magnetic disc drive unit (6) inside the chassis, a sensor (8), and a controller (10). The sensor (8), which is disposed between the chassis and the magnetic disc drive unit, detects outside forces acting on the chassis or chassis deformation resulting therefrom. If the outside forces or deformation detected by the sensor exceed a prescribed level, the controller (10) moves a magnetic head (14) in the magnetic disc drive unit to a safe position.
