Abstract:

This information processing device accurately specifies the location or the like of a user even in a forest or the like.　The information processing device, which specifies the current location of a user in a forest, is characterized by comprising: a measurement unit which emits laser light to the surroundings from the current location and measures the distance to each tree from the current location; a first acquisition unit which acquires map data that indicates the positions of trees constituting the forest; a second acquisition unit which acquires tree data that indicates the features of the trees indicated by the map data; an imaging unit which images the surroundings of the user and generates image data; an associating unit which associates, on the basis of an analysis result obtained by analyzing the image data and the measurement result from the measurement unit, a first tree indicated by the map data and a second tree to which attention is paid on the basis of the measurement result or the analysis result; and a first specifying unit which, if there are a plurality of third trees, each of which is a second tree associated with the first tree, specifies the current location on the basis of the locations of the plurality of third trees.
