Abstract:
Provided is a wristwatch-type device, wherein a walking-mode detector detects a walking mode on the basis of a pattern of change in acceleration. A walking-direction detector detects a walking direction. A gravity-direction detector detects the direction of gravity. A wearing-side determination unit determines the wearing side on the basis of the walking direction when the walking mode has been detected. A wearing-arm determination unit determines the wearing arm on the basis of the direction of gravity when the walking mode has been detected. A setting unit identifies the wearing mode on the basis of the wearing side and the wearing arm, and applies a setting corresponding to the wearing mode.
