Abstract:

Provided is an information processing device capable of displaying a planar image in a mode appropriate to a use status, when the planar image is displayed on an image display device used by a user with the device mounted on a head of the user. An information processing device is connected to a video display device used by a user with the video display device mounted on a head of the user, and switches between a first display mode and a second display mode on the basis of a given condition. In the first display mode, irrespective of a change in position and/or orientation of the video display device, a planar image is displayed in a forward direction of the user. In the second display mode, in such a way as to change in accordance with the change in position and/or orientation of the video display device, the planar image is displayed.
