This information processing device is provided with an acquiring unit which acquires moving image information, an identification information generating unit which identifies each of a plurality of persons, a large plate and each of a plurality of small plates, and the type of food or drink, an estimating unit which estimates the amount of the food or drink on the large plate and each of the plurality of small plates, a first determining unit which determines whether the amount of food or drink on the large plate has decreased, a second determining unit which, if the determination result from the first determining unit is affirmative, determines whether one person among the plurality of persons has ingested the food or drink from the large plate, or whether the food or drink has been transferred to one small plate among the plurality of small plates, and an ingestion information generating unit which, if it is shown that one person has ingested the food or drink from the large plate, generates ingestion information associating the amount of the food or drink ingested by said one person, the one person, and the type of food or drink, wherein, if the food or drink has been transferred to one small plate, the estimating unit increases the amount of the food or drink on said one small plate by the amount by which the food or drink on the large plate has decreased.
