Abstract:
[Problem] To provide more highly accurate positional information corresponding to the state of the real world. [Solution] The present invention provides an information processing method that includes the generation of a feature point list by a processor, said feature point list having associated therein three-dimensional coordinates for feature points detected from observation information collected around a unit area and local feature amounts for the feature points. In addition, an information processing device is provided with: a calculation unit that extracts feature points and local feature amounts related to the feature points from acquired image information; and a communication unit that acquires a feature point list on the basis of collected observation information. The calculation unit performs self-position estimation on the basis of the local feature amounts and the feature point list. The feature point list includes: three-dimensional coordinate positions for the feature points associated with a unit area including observation sites for the observation information; and local feature amounts relating to the feature points.
