Abstract:
[Problem] To effectively utilize information captured by an imaging device. [Solution] This method for identifying a position in a shape corresponding to a position in an image includes: a step in which a computer associates a plurality of first positions in an image captured by an imaging device and second positions in a shape corresponding to the image, the second positions respectively corresponding to the plurality of first positions, and stores these associations as relationships; a step in which the computer acquires a third position pertaining to a target in the image; and a step in which the computer uses a portion or all of the aforementioned relationships and the positional relationships between a portion of the plurality of first positions and the third position to generate, in the shape, a fourth position corresponding to the third position. In the method, the aforementioned portion of the plurality of first positions are the three first positions that are closest to the third position from among the plurality of first positions. In the method, the step for generating the fourth position encompasses a step in which the sides of a triangle formed by the aforementioned three first positions are used.
