Abstract:
Disclosed is an information processing system comprising: a plurality of information processing apparatuses that process tasks distributedly; a plurality of power-supply apparatuses provided in correspondence with the plurality of information processing apparatuses, each power-supply apparatus supplying DC power to the corresponding information processing apparatus; and a plurality of electricity-storage apparatuses provided in correspondence with the plurality of information processing apparatuses, each backing up the DC power from the corresponding power-supply apparatus. Said information processing system is provided with a computation unit that allocates tasks to the plurality of information processing apparatuses in accordance with the charge states of the plurality of electricity-storage apparatuses. Managing the power consumption of a plurality of DC devices makes it possible to secure charging power for the electricity-storage apparatuses without increasing the output capacity of the power-supply apparatuses.
