Abstract:
An information providing apparatus for a vehicle is provided with: a remaining amount detecting means (110) for detecting the amount of power remaining in a battery; a power-consumption amount detecting means (130) for detecting the amount of power consumption by the battery; a power-consumption amount history generating means (130) for generating a history of the amount of power consumption, on the basis of the amount of power consumption detected by the power-consumption amount detecting means (130); a charging necessity evaluation-information generating means (130) for generating charging necessity evaluation information, which is information for letting a user evaluate the necessity of charging the battery, on the basis of the history of the amount of power consumption generated by the power-consumption amount history generating means; and a presenting means (150) for associating information about the amount of power remaining in the battery with the charging necessity evaluation information, and presenting the associated result to the user. Thus, information for evaluating the necessity of charging the battery is provided to the user in an appropriate manner.
