Abstract:

Provided is an information providing device that provides information that is for determining the timing at which a green signal is to be ended. Also provided are a computer program, a storage medium on which the computer program is stored, and an information providing method. The information providing device is provided with: a vehicle-count acquisition unit that acquires a vehicle count for the vehicles that pass a prescribed location in a prescribed lane of an approach road that approaches an intersection; a signal information acquisition unit that acquires signal information for the intersection; a specifying unit that, with respect to a first point in time and a second point in time that follow the beginning of a green signal for the approach road, continually reestablishes the second point in time until the end of the green signal and specifies, multiple times, a vehicle count for the vehicles that pass the prescribed location between the first point in time and the second point in time; and a display unit that, each time the second point in time is reestablished, on the basis of the specified vehicle count, displays information on a prescribed-time-period vehicle count for the vehicles that pass the prescribed location.
