Abstract:

The power consumption is decreased for the communication action wherein an offline client terminal searches for a base station or access point. Using a communication information prediction algorithm, a server predicts the location or time on a travel path for the client terminal to go into an offline state and the location or time to return to an online state, and notifies the client terminal. The client terminal stops communication capabilities when reaching the predicted offline location or time that was notified. By means of location recognition or time recognition, the offline client terminal determines when the predicted location or time to return online has been reached, and restarts communication capabilities.
