Abstract:
An information providing device (10) is provided with a light receiving unit (11a), a light receiving unit (11b), an inclination detecting unit (13), an information providing unit (17), and an information control unit (16). The information providing device (10) is attached to a hand strap (23). The light receiving unit (11a) receives light that includes information. The light receiving unit (11b) is disposed in a position different from the first light receiving unit (11a) and receives light. The inclination detection unit (13) detects the inclination of the hand strap (23) on the basis of the difference between received light intensity (12a), which is the received light intensity for the light received by the light receiving unit (11a), and received light intensity (12b), which is the received light intensity for the light received by the light receiving unit (11b). The information providing unit (17) outputs the information included in the light. The information control unit (16) switches the state for providing the information of the information providing unit (17) on the basis of inclination of the hand strap (23).
