Abstract:
In order to minimize incidents of running out of charge in a given area, the disclosed information provision device is provided with: an acquisition means that acquires driving information for an electric vehicle with an onboard secondary battery (204); a charging output estimation means that uses the driving information to estimate a charging output value for a charging device provided in the given area; a determination means that uses the estimated charging output value to determine whether or not there is a danger of running out of charge in the given area; and an information provision means that uses the result from the determination means to provide the electric vehicle with recommendation information regarding charging.
