Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an information provision device and information provision method which, using an evaluation result which is obtained for a face region attribute of a subject, is capable of promptly providing for the subject at least one instance of information (hereinafter "subject information") which is both useful and appropriate to such as styling which matches the subject. [Solution] This information provision device and information provision method: having selected at least one face region which configures the face of the subject, compares at least one face region attribute measurement result which has been acquired for each of the face region attributes with a reference value thereof; on the basis of the comparison result and at least one inclination which has been defined for the face region attribute, identifies a matching information category using the at least one inclination; selects a subject information group, from among a plurality of subject information groups, which is included in the matching information category; and outputs same.
