Abstract:
Disclosed is an information provision system that makes it possible, while multimedia information such as audio and/or video data is being provided to users, for each user to easily and appropriately search for and select products, services, and the like that are suited to the preferences and personality of that user. The disclosed information provision system is provided with a popup tag information definition means that defines, within audio and/or video data, popup tag information for said audio and/or video data in a different layer from said audio and/or video data. The popup tag information defined in the audio and/or video data by the popup tag information definition means includes: time-axis information regarding the time at which the definition of the popup tag information in the audio and/or video data starts (t1) and the time at which said definition ends (t2); position information regarding the x-axis and y-axis position at which the popup tag information is defined in the audio and/or video data; and character string data and/or binary data.
