Abstract:
An information reporting method and a mailbox for periodic reporting of mailbox status, belonging to the field of electronic technology. The method can improve user experience, and through using the technology to push patent information, the rights and interests of the patentee (applicant) are highlighted. The method comprises: opening a lighting unit (301) after a delivery staff puts an article, which are to be placed in a mailbox, into the mailbox; controlling an image pick-up unit (302) to take a photograph of the article, and to obtain the photograph of the article; extracting attribute information of the article on the basis of the photograph of the article (S203), the attribute information of the article comprising at least one of the following type of information: identification information for identifying the nature of the article, and address information for indicating the origin of the article; after a preset period is passed, counting the attribute information of all the items extracted in the period (S204); and transmitting notification information to a binding user of the mailbox, the notification information comprising attribute information of the article acquired in the period, and pushing patent information to the user (S205).
