A recording medium for video data includes a data region (76) that stores control information (78) followed by a video object (82) for reproduction. Suspension information (124) is stored in a reserve region of the control information (78) so that it can be used when reproduction is resumed after interruption. Referring to the suspension information (124), therefore, the reproduction of video can be resumed where there was an interruption, simply by loading the player with the disk even if the disk was once removed.
