Abstract:
Information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances used in logistics and processing of logs comprises an unit (3) which is suitable for establishing a wireless computer network i.e. a cloud, which enables transfer of data, as well as a computer (4), which enables communication with said wireless network i.e. cloud and is suitable for both retrieving and saving of data obtained from said network and also for processing and/or transforming said data, as well as for presentation and/or transmission of said data to said network, wherein said system also comprises at least one transporting appliance (1), which is furnished with a group of sensors (11, 12, 13, 14) and optionally also with an information displaying device and with at least one output data displaying unit, and which is moreover via a communicator (15), which is capable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network (3), and wherein the system further comprises at least one processing appliance (2), which is furnished with a group of sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) and optionally also with an information displaying device and with at least one output data displaying unit, and which is moreover via a communicator (15), which is capable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network (3).

Claims:
PATENT CLAIMS

1. Information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances used in logistics and processing of logs, comprising

- at least one transporting appliance (1), which is furnished with a group of sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14) and optionally also with an information displaying device;

- at least one processing appliance (2), which is furnished with a group of sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) and optionally also with an information displaying device;

- an unit (3) which is suitable for establishing a wireless computer network i.e. a cloud, which enables transfer of data, as well as a computer (4), which enables communication with said wireless network i.e. cloud and is suitable for both retrieving and saving of data obtained from said network and also for processing and/or transforming said data, as well as for presentation and/or transmission of said data to said network, characterized in that

said at least one forestry manipulating appliance (1) is a forestry manipulating machine, which is furnished with a group of sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14), a processing unit (10), which is suitable for transformation of signals obtained from said sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14) into applicable information, and optionally also with at least one output data displaying unit, and which is moreover via a communicator (15), which is capable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network (3), while said at least one processing appliance (2) is a wood processing appliance, namely a timber or log processing appliance (2), which is furnished with a group of sensors (21, 22, 23, 24), a processing unit (20) suitable for transforming of signals obtained from sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) to applicable data, and optionally also with at least one output data presentation unit, wherein said wood processing appliance (2) is via a communicator (25), which is suitable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network (3).

2. System according to Claim 1, characterized in that said computer (4) is suitable for communication with said wireless network (3) in HTML protocol.

System according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each communication between said at least one transporting appliance (1), which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit (3), which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator (15), is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifl and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal.

System according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each communication between said at least one wood processing appliance (2), which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit (3), which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator (25), is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifi and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal.

5. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 4, characterized in that said forestry manipulating appliance (1) is a crane, which is suitable for manipulating with logs.

System according to Claim 5, characterized in that said group of sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14) includes at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of each current position of said appliance (1), at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for determining weight of each particular load, at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for determining of a diameter of each particular load, at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), as well as at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting each duration of activity of said appliance (1).

7. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 4, characterized in that said forestry manipulating appliance (1) is a forestry skyline, which is suitable for manipulating with logs.

System according to Claim 7, characterized in that said group of sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14) includes at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of each current position of a base station of said forestry manipulating appliance (1), namely a forestry skyline, at least one sensor (1 1 , 12, 13, 14) for determining each weight of each transported load, at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor (11, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), at least one sensor (1 1 , 12, 13, 14) for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), at least one sensor (11, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance (1), as well as at least one sensor for detecting each current parameters related to operation of said appliance (1), namely of a forestry skyline.

9. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 4, characterized in that said forestry manipulating appliance (1) is a forestry winch, which is suitable for manipulating with logs.

System according to Claim 9, characterized in that said group of sensors (11, 12, 13, 14) includes at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of each current position of said forestry manipulating appliance (1), at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), at least one sensor (1 1, 12, 13, 14) for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (1), as well as at least one sensor (1 1 , 12, 13, 14) for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance (1).

System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 4, characterized in that said wood processing appliance (2) is a firewood splitting machine, namely a machine for cutting each logs to sections of a pre-determined length as well as for splitting said sections in the longitudinal direction thereof for the purpose of gaining appropriate firewood pieces.

System according to Claim 1 1, characterized in that said group of sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) includes at least one sensor (21, 22, 23, 24) for detecting of each current position of said wood processing appliance (2), at least one sensor (21, 22, 23, 24) for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor (21, 22, 23, 24) for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of the wood processing appliance (2), at least one sensor (21,

22, 23, 24) for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance (2), as well as at least one sensor (21, 22,

23, 24) for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance (2).

System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 12, characterized in that said computer (4) is equipped with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14) on at least one wood manipulating appliance (1), and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator (15) as soon as each pre-determined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer (4) are fulfilled, as well as with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) on at least one wood processing appliance (2), and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator (25) as soon as each pre-determined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer (4) are fulfilled.

14. System according to Claim 13, characterized in that said computer (4) is moreover equipped with a computer software, which is suitable for planning and optimization of logistic operations among each disposable wood manipulating appliances (1) and each disposable wood processing appliances (2).

15. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 14, characterized in that at least one of said communicators (15, 25) is integrated within the appliance (1, 2), with the sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14; 21, 22, 23, 24) of which it is able to communicate.

16. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 14, characterized in that each communicator (15, 25) is integrated within the appliance (1, 2), with the sensors (1 1, 12, 13, 14; 21, 22, 23, 24) of which it is able to communicate.

17. System according to anyone of Claims 1 - 15, characterized in that it comprises at least one portable communicator (15, 25), which enables remote communication with at least one of said appliances (1, 2).

Description:
Information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances used in logistics and processing of logs

The present invention refers to an information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances used in logistics and processing of logs. According to the International Patent Classification such inventions belong either to physics, namely to apparatuses for monitoring of operation of other devices, namely to the class G 07 C 3/00, or to forestry in the class A 01 G 23/00, or also to processing and transporting in the field of wood processing, namely in the class B 27 G 1/00.

The purpose of the invention is to create a system, which would from the one single place enable supervision of operation of, on the one hand, manipulating appliances used in logistics of semi-processed wood, namely timbers, which are available in various locations, and on the other hand, of wood processing appliances, which are also available on one or more various other locations and are intended for producing firewood from said timbers. In this, such system should enable permanently supervising of parameters defining operation capability of said appliances, as well as parameters, which define efficiency i.e. productivity and allow planning of any further activities due to fluent and efficient processing of wood. An apparatus for supervision of a forestry working machine is together with a belonging method disclosed in WO 201 1/064453. Such device comprises a means for collecting data, a means for processing such retrieved data and providing to each operator such optimally processed data to be used during ongoing operation, which date can then be accepted by the operator or not. Moreover, said device is also suitable for monitoring of concentration of said operator of the forestry machine, as well as of a fuel consumption, by which said device is also capable to generate a request concerning reduction of fuel consumption. However, such a device neither solves the previously mentioned technical problem nor proposes any possibility in the course of resolving thereof.

The present invention refers to an information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances used in logistics and processing of logs, wherein such system comprises

- at least one transporting appliance, which is furnished with a group of sensors and optionally also with an information displaying device;

- at least one processing appliance, which is furnished with a group of sensors and optionally also with an information displaying device;

- an unit, which is suitable for establishing a wireless computer network i.e. a cloud, which enables transfer of data, as well as a computer, which enables communication with said wireless network i.e. cloud and is suitable for both retrieving and saving of data obtained from said network and also for processing and/or transforming said data, as well as for presentation and/or transmission of said data to said network.

The invention proposes that said at least one wood manipulating appliance is a forestry manipulating machine, which is furnished with a group of sensors, a processing unit, which is suitable for transformation of signals obtained from said sensors into applicable information, and optionally also with at least one output data displaying unit, and which is moreover via a communicator, which is capable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network, while said at least one processing appliance is a wood processing appliance, namely a timber or log processing appliance, which is furnished with a group of sensors, a processing unit suitable for transforming of signals obtained from sensors to applicable data, and optionally also with at least one output data presentation unit, wherein said wood processing appliance is via a communicator, which is suitable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said computer is suitable for communication with said wireless network in HTML protocol.

Each communication between said at least one transporting appliance, which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit, which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator, is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifi and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal. Each communication between said at least one wood processing appliance), which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit, which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator, is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifi and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal.

In accordance with one of possible embodiments of the invention said forestry manipulating appliance is a crane, which is suitable for manipulating with logs. In such case said group of sensors includes at least one sensor for detecting of each current position of said appliance (1), at least one sensor for determining weight of each particular load, at least one sensor for determining of a diameter of each particular load, at least one sensor for detecting environment temperature, at least one sensor for detecting temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, as well as at least one sensor for detecting each duration of activity of said appliance.

In accordance with a further possible embodiment of the invention, said forestry wood manipulating appliance is a forestry skyline, which is suitable for manipulating with logs. In such system said group of sensors includes at least one sensor for detecting of each current position of a base station of said wood manipulating appliance, namely a forestry skyline, at least one sensor for determining each weight of each transported load, at least one sensor for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor) for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance, as well as at least one sensor for detecting each current parameters related to operation of said appliance, namely of a forestry skyline.

In accordance with a further possible embodiment of the invention, said forestry manipulating appliance is a forestry winch, which is suitable for manipulating with logs. In such case said group of sensors includes at least one sensor for detecting of each current position of said wood manipulating appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, as well as at least one sensor for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance.

Moreover, an embodiment of the invention provides that said forestry wood processing appliance is a firewood splitting machine, namely a machine for cutting each logs to sections of a pre-determined length as well as for splitting said sections in the longitudinal direction thereof for the purpose of gaining appropriate firewood pieces. In such case said group of sensors includes at least one sensor for detecting of each current position of said wood processing appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of the wood processing appliance, at least one sensor for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance, as well as at least one sensor for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance.

The invention further provides a possibility that said computer is furnished with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors on at least one wood manipulating appliance, and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator as soon as each pre-determined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer are fulfilled, as well as with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors on at least one wood processing appliance, and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator as soon as each pre-determined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer are fulfilled.

In accordance with a still further possibility, said computer is moreover also furnished with a computer software, which is suitable for planning and optimization of logistic operations among each disposable wood manipulating appliances and each disposable wood processing appliances.

Moreover, at least one of said communicators can be integrated within the appliance, with the sensors of which it is able to communicate, or alternatively, each communicator is integrated within the appliance, with the sensors of which it is able to communicate. A further possibility is also foreseen, in which the system comprises at least one portable communicator, which enables remote communication with at least one of said appliances.

An assembly according to the invention is presented in the attached drawing, namely in Fig. 1.

As shown in Fig. 1 , an information system for monitoring of efficiency of operation of appliances, which is usable in logistics and processing of logs, and which falls within a domain of the present invention, generally comprises at least one transporting appliance 1, which is furnished with a group of sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14 and optionally also with an information displaying device, at least one processing appliance 2, which is furnished with a group of sensors 21, 22, 23, 24 and optionally also with an information displaying device, as well as a further unit 3 which is suitable for establishing a wireless computer network i.e. a cloud, which enables transfer of data, as well as a computer 4, which enables communication with said wireless network i.e. cloud and is suitable for both retrieving and saving of data obtained from said network and also for processing and/or transforming said data, as well as for presentation and/or transmission of said data to said network.

In the context of solution of the previously mentioned technical problem, said at least one forestry manipulating appliance 1 is a forestry manipulating machine, which is furnished with a group of sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14, a processing unit 10, which is suitable for transformation of signals obtained from said sensors 11 , 12, 13, 14 into applicable information. Such appliance 1 is optionally furnished with at least one output data displaying unit and is moreover via a communicator 15, which is capable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network 3. On the other hand, said at least one processing appliance 2 is a wood processing appliance, namely a timber or log processing appliance 2, which is furnished with a group of sensors 21 , 22, 23, 24, a processing unit 20 suitable for transforming of signals obtained from sensors (21, 22, 23, 24) to applicable data. Also such appliance 2 is optionally furnished with at least one output data presentation unit and is via a communicator 25, which is suitable for retrieving and transmission of data, connected with said wireless network 3.

In this disclosure, the term "crane" means an apparatus, which is described in the preamble of the first patent claim of the published European patent application No EP 2 248 753 Al, to which a reference is made, the term "forestry skyline" means an apparatus, which is described in the preamble of the first patent claim of the published European patent application No EP 2 870 101 Al, to which a reference is made, the term "forestry winch" means an apparatus, which is described in the preamble of the first patent claim of the Slovenian short-term-patent No SI 22080 A or German utility model No DE 20 2007 05538 U, to which a reference is made, while the term "firewood splitting machine" means an apparatus, which is described in the preamble of the first patent claim of the Slovenian patent application No SI-P-2017001 1 1 , which is at this time still unpublished.

Said computer 4 is suitable for communication with said wireless network 3 in the HTML protocol. Consequently, reviewing and processing of data within the cloud is performed by means of internet browser, and the user does not need any additional computer software.

Each communication between said at least one transporting appliance 1 , which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit 3, which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator 15, is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifi and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal. Also each communication between said at least one wood processing appliance 2, which is used in logistics of logs, and said unit 3, which is serving for establishing of a wireless network via said communicator 25, is performed either by wire or wireless in the form of a wifi and/or a GPRS (GSM) signal.

If said forestry manipulating appliance 1 is a crane, which is suitable for manipulating with logs, said group of sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14 includes at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for detecting of each current position of said appliance 1, at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for determining weight of each particular load, at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for determining of a diameter of each particular load, at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1 , at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1, as well as at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting each duration of activity of said appliance 1, but optionally also other sensors and/or readers like e.g. a bar code reader.

If said forestry manipulating appliance 1 is a forestry skyline, which is suitable for manipulating with logs, said group of sensors 11, 12, 13, 14 includes at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of each current position of a base station of said forestry manipulating appliance 1 , namely a forestry skyline, at least one sensor 1 1 ,

12, 13, 14 for determining each weight of each transported load, at least one sensor 11, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor 11, 12,

13, 14 for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1), at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1), at least one sensor 1 1 , 12, 13, 14 for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance 1, as well as at least one sensor for detecting each current parameters related to operation of said appliance 1, namely of a forestry skyline.

If said forestry manipulating appliance 1 is a forestry winch, which is suitable for manipulating with logs, then said group of sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14 includes at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of each current position of said forestry manipulating appliance 1, at least one sensor (11, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1, at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 1, as well as at least one sensor 1 1, 12, 13, 14 for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance 1.

Said wood processing appliance 2 is a firewood splitting machine, namely a machine for cutting each logs to sections of a pre-determined length as well as for splitting said sections in the longitudinal direction thereof for the purpose of gaining appropriate firewood pieces. In such context, said group of sensors 21, 22, 23, 24 includes at least one sensor 21, 22, 23, 24 for detecting of each current position of said wood processing appliance 2, at least one sensor 21, 22, 23, 24 for detecting of environment temperature, at least one sensor 21, 22, 23, 24 for detecting of temperature of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of the wood processing appliance 2, at least one sensor 21, 22, 23, 24 for detecting of pressure of each hydraulic media in each desired area of the hydraulic system of said appliance 2, as well as at least one sensor 21, 22, 23, 24 for detecting of duration of activity of said appliance 2.

In the embodiment as shown in Fig. 1, said computer 4 is equipped with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors 11, 12, 13, 14 on at least one wood manipulating appliance 1, and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator 15 as soon as each pre-determined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer 4 are fulfilled. On such basis such information system enables identification of each current location of the appliance 1, so that each operator may be supplied with appropriate instructions e.g. in view of optimal adjustment of the appliance, or in view of temporarily or permanently terminating each operation of the appliance, and moreover also enables collecting of data related to productivity of the appliance within certain time period, from which also the other data may be retrieved, like e.g. each disposable amount of timbers, which remain available for processing, or the data required by timely organization of transporting and/or storage of timbers.

Said computer 4 is also furnished with a computer software, which is suitable for monitoring and optionally saving and evaluating each data received from said sensors 21 , 22, 23, 24 on at least one wood processing appliance 2, and to transmit appropriate feedback information via said communicator 25 as soon as each predetermined criteria integrated within said computer software in the computer 4 are fulfilled. Also in this case each current location of said appliance 2 and certain parameters related to each current operation of the appliance can be determined, and at the same time productivity of the appliance can be remotely monitored, which on the one hand enables providing a sufficient backlog of timbers due to fluent operation of the appliance 2, and on the other hand also an efficient organization of transporting of produced firewood pieces either to each consumer or towards the store or to any other location.

It should be noted that each logistics and processing of timbers are performed by various appliances 1 , 2, which are, depending on each disposable amount of wood as well as weather and other conditions distributed on various locations, and also conditions of storage of timbers may be very different. Also the ways of transporting among these locations may be very different, and depending on communication and transporting possibilities, each communication among them may take a lot of time and may also require overcoming of long distances, which may lead to jams in logistics and in particular in processing of wood. For these reasons, the invention also provides that said computer is equipped with a computer software, which is suitable for planning and optimization of logistic operations among each disposable wood manipulating appliances 1 and each disposable wood processing appliances 2.

In accordance with the invention at least one of said communicators 15, 25 is integrated within the appliance 1, 2, with the sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14; 21, 22, 23, 24 of which it is able to communicate. Moreover, the invention also provides that each one of said communicators 15, 25 is integrated within the appliance 1, 2, with the sensors 1 1, 12, 13, 14; 21, 22, 23, 24 of which it is able to communicate. In general, such system may also comprise at least one portable communicator 15, 25), which enables remote communication with at least one of said appliances 1, 2.
