The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses an information transmission method and apparatus, an information acquisition method and apparatus, and a communication device. The information transmission method in the embodiments of the present application comprises: a terminal reports first indication information, the first indication information being used for indicating at least one of the following: whether the terminal is a reduced capability terminal; type identification information of the terminal; and capability information of the reduced capability terminal.
