Disclosed are an infrared-based weighing anomaly determination method and system. The method comprises: firstly, acquiring a parking-on-scale signal by means of an infrared grating (S1); and then acquiring a card insertion signal (S2), so as to determine, according to the acquisition sequence of the card insertion signal and a weighing signal, whether a weighing anomaly occurs to a vehicle to be weighed (S3). Whether a weighing anomaly occurs to a weighed vehicle can be automatically determined by means of an infrared grating, such that an anomaly can be prevented from occurring to the weighed vehicle, and improper operation or cheating can be discovered in a timely manner, thereby improving the accuracy of weighing and measurement. Whether to implement automatic weighing and measurement can be determined according to whether an anomaly occurs, and automatic weighing and measurement are implemented for a vehicle to which no weighing anomaly occurs, thus reducing the time consumed to perform weighing and measurement of each weighed vehicle, thereby improving the efficiency of weighing and measurement.
