Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of making it easier to detect the presence of an object to be detected in a detection area regardless of the temperature difference between the ambient temperature and the temperature of the object to be detected. An infrared detection device (1) according to the present invention executes, within detection processing, comparison processing, timing processing, and determination processing. Comparison processing is the comparison of a first threshold (TH1) larger than stationary noise (N1) and the absolute value of the output signal level of a reception unit (3). Timing processing is the timing of a determination time (P1) from a time when the level exceeds the first threshold (TH1) to the next time the level exceeds the first threshold (TH1). Determination processing is the determination that an object to be detected (B1) is within a detection area if the determination time (P1) is within a preset setting time (T1) for a prescribed consecutive number of times.
