Abstract:
The present invention provides a pyroelectric infrared detection element that is both compact and capable of reliably detecting a plurality of types of objects to be detected. This infrared detection element (10) is provided with a pyroelectric body (101), light reception electrode (110), light reception electrode (120), and blackened film (131, 132). Light reception electrode (110) is formed on the surface of the pyroelectric body (101) and receives infrared radiation from a first area. Light reception electrode (120) is formed on the surface of the pyroelectric body (101) and receives infrared radiation from a second area. The blackened film (131, 132) is disposed on the surface of light reception electrode (110) and is not disposed on the surface of light reception electrode (120). As a result, light reception electrode (110) and light reception electrode (120) have different infrared radiation reception sensitivities.
