Abstract:
This infrared heater 10 comprises a heater main body 11 and a casing 50. The heater main body 11 comprises a heat-generating body 13, and a meta-material structure body 30 that is capable of emitting, when thermal energy enters from the heat-generating body 13, an infrared beam whereof the peak wavelength follows a non-Planck distribution. The casing 50 has an interior space 53 which can be reduced in pressure wherein the heater main body 11 is disposed. In addition, the casing 50 has an infrared-beam-transmitting plate 54 capable of transmitting the infrared beam from the meta-material structure body 30 to the exterior of the casing 50.
