Abstract:
Provided is an infrared ray sensor which can conduct a plurality of types of detection including temperature-based detection and gas-based detection with a simple structure, which allows for reductions in size and cost. The infrared ray sensor (1) is provided with: a first infrared ray-detection unit (31), which includes at least one infrared ray-detection element (20) provided with an infrared ray-detection material (22) which has physical properties that change depending on the physical properties of the incoming infrared rays, and detects and receives ambient infrared rays; and a second infrared detection unit (32) which includes at least one infrared ray-detection element (20) having the same element structure as the infrared ray-detection element(s) of the first infrared ray-detection part (31), is irradiated to an infrared ray (X) for measurement purposes which has specific physical properties, and detects changes in the physical properties of said infrared ray (X). The first infrared ray-detection unit (31) and the second infrared ray-detection unit (32) are located on the same substrate (10).
