Title:
INFUSIBILIZED POLYPHENYLENE ETHER FIBERS, INFUSIBILIZED POLYPHENYLENE ETHER MOLDED ARTICLE, CARBON FIBERS, ACTIVATED CARBON FIBERS, CARBON FIBER MOLDED ARTICLE, ACTIVATED CARBON FIBER MOLDED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/200223
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: infusibilized polyphenylene ether fibers that have excellent heat resistance, that, even when the diameters thereof are increased, have excellent workability and mechanical strength, and that do not generate hazardous decomposition gas when being combusted; carbon fibers obtained through carbonization of the infusibilized polyphenylene ether fibers or the like; activated carbon fibers obtained through activation of the infusibilized polyphenylene ether fibers or the like; infusibilized polyphenylene ether molded article including the infusibilized polyphenylene ether fibers; carbon fiber molded article obtained through carbonization of the infusibilized polyphenylene ether molded article or the like; activated carbon fiber molded article obtained through activation of the infusibilized polyphenylene ether molded article or the like; and a method for manufacturing same. In the infusibilized polyphenylene ether fibers according to the present invention, when measurement is performed thereon by infrared spectrophotometry, the absorbance height ratio (A/B) of an absorbance height A at a wave number 1694 cm-1 derived from C=O stretching vibration with respect to an absorbance height B at a wave number 1600 cm-1 derived from backbone vibration caused by stretching between carbon atoms of a benzene ring, is 0.25 or more, and the absorbance height ratio (C/B) of an absorbance height C at a wave number 1661 cm-1 derived from C=O stretching vibration with respect to the absorbance height B at the wave number 1600 cm-1 derived from backbone vibration caused by stretching between carbon atoms of a benzene ring, is 0.75 or less.
