An infusion system and a method of controlling the flow rate of a liquid medicine of the infusion system. The flow rate of infusion can be automatically adjusted according to the current physical condition of a patient. The infusion system comprises an infusion device (10) and a monitoring device (20). The infusion device (10) may comprise an infusion tube (102) for receiving a liquid medicine from a liquid medicine vessel (101), the infusion tube (102) may be provided thereon with an infusion flow rate adjustment device (103), and the infusion flow rate adjustment device (103) is used for adjusting the flow rate of the liquid medicine. The monitoring device (10) may be used for monitoring the physiological parameters of a patient, and may control the infusion flow rate adjustment device (103) to adjust the flow rate of the liquid medicine, depending at least on the physiological parameter information of the patient.
