Title:
INHIBITORS OF THE INTERACTION OF THE SIGMA-1 RECEPTOR WITH hERG FOR USE IN THE TREATMENT OF CANCER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/104550
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of the Sigma-1 receptor (Sig1R) in the context of the post-transcriptional regulation of ion channel membrane expression. The present invention can be used in the field of the treatment of diseases involving ion channels. They are, for example, nervous system diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, heart diseases, and cancer.
