Title:
INHIBITORY OLIGONUCLEOTIDES TARGETED TO MATRIX METALLOPROTEINASE-9
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2004035759
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
Inhibitory oligonucleotides are disclosed which are targeted to six specific target regions found on nucleic acids encoding matrix-metalloprotein-9. These inhibitory oligonucleotides are generally of from about 8 to about 50 nucleotides in length. Presently preferred oligonucleotides are disclosed. The oligonucleotides of the invention may be incorporated into compositions such as pharmaceutical compositions, and may additionally be used in methods of inhibiting the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 in a cell or tissue.
